Maryam holds a Fine Arts degree in Visual Arts from the College of Art & Design (UCAD) at the University of the Punjab (PU) in Lahore, Pakistan. Trained in traditional and contemporary techniques, she brings rigorous artistic discipline and a refined visual sensibility to every scarf design, translating her academic foundation into wearable, museum-quality artistry.

As a visual artist and art educator, Maryam has always been inspired by nature — flowers and floral designs, to be precise. Her scarves feature digital prints of her watercolor artwork on 100% modal fabric, evoking elegance and serenity in every detail.

Each piece is designed with care and passion, reflecting Maryam’s artistic vision and inviting the wearer to experience the beauty of the natural world with modest charm, effortless style, and personal expression.

Inspired by her student Salman, the mastermind behind the brand, Maryam launched M by Maryam. A renowned fashion designer, Salman holds an honors degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and a degree in textile design. With over 23 years of experience and more than 50 professional certifications, he has collaborated with international fashion houses to refine his craft. His digital designs reflect a sophisticated blend of artistic vision and technical expertise, combining creativity with a deep understanding of materials and textile construction.
